Caeley Melmed, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM)

Caeley J. Melmed, DVM, Diplomate, ACVIM (SAIM), is a board-certified Veterinary Internist at MedVet Grapevine. Dr. Melmed completed her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University as well as completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. Subsequent to veterinary school, she pursued a yearlong small animal internship at The Ohio State University and subsequently returned to Texas A&M for a three-year residency in small animal internal medicine, where she received extensive training in oncology, gastrointestinal disease and endoscopic procedures.

Following her board certification, Dr. Melmed practiced as an internist within the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex for five years before partnering with Dr. Erika Pickens to start Veterinary Medicine Specialists (VMS) hospital (2008-2017).

Katherine Mix, DVM, Residency Trained in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care

Katherine A. Mix, DVM, is a residency trained Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian who joined the MedVet Dallas team in 2018. Dr. Mix earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. Following the completion of her undergraduate studies, Dr. Mix earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University in St. Kitts, West Indies. She next completed a Rotating Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship and Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care Residency at South Texas Veterinary Specialists in San Antonio, TX.
