Dr. DuFort received his DVM from the University of California, Davis, in 1980. He completed internships in small-animal medicine and surgery at the Sacramento Animal Medical, followed by a small-animal internal medicine residency at Cornell University and residencies in clinical pathology, microbiology and pathology at University of California, Davis. He joined Consolidated Veterinary Diagnostics as chief clinical pathologist and was the clinical laboratory director for 10 years. Dr. DuFort is currently a senior internal medicine consultant with IDEXX. His interests are general internal medicine and endocrinology. He is a contributing author of the Textbook of Veterinary Internal Medicine. He joined the Pet Health Network team in 2015.
