Welcome to the official website for the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association (DCVMA). DCVMA has been serving the Veterinary Profession and Dallas Community since 1954.
It always surprises me how the start of a new year seems to pass so quickly! We were fortunate to have Mike Pfeiffer and Kevin Patterson to have joined us in March for a discussion of OSHA/DEA and practice management. This is invaluable information for the practicing veterinarian. The DCVMA would like to express our gratitude for their time and expertise, as well as the support of Henry Schein for the March meeting. You are greatly appreciated!
In April, we will be shifting back to a clinically-oriented presentation on the topic of behavior, which can be a challenging aspect of practice. Our speaker will be Dr. Valarie Tynes, who will be discussing the Fear Free Initiative. Dr. Tynes received her veterinary degree from Texas A&M University, and practiced for 14 years before completing her residency in clinical animal behavior at the University of California at Davis in 2000. She is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists, and also serves as a veterinary services specialist for Ceva Animal Health. Many thanks to Ceva Animal Health for sponsoring the meeting!
Please continue to share your comments with any member of the DCVMA board. We look forward to hearing from you.
